Doğan Özdemir, known professionally as Miskin Kukla, is an interdisciplinary Turkish visual artist and designer whose work spans photography, digital collage, illustration, and conceptual art. With over 20 years of professional experience as a graphic designer, art director, and creative director, Özdemir combines a rigorous design sensibility with poetic experimentation, creating works that explore identity, memory, transformation, and the traces of history through forgotten narratives, abandoned spaces, and cultural myths.

Graduating from the Graphic Design Department of Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir (2005), Özdemir treats photography and digital media not as finished products but as raw materials to be cut, layered, and reassembled, reflecting the fragmented and surreal nature of perception and experience. His recurring hybrid figures—half-human, half-creature—invite viewers into narratives where the instinctual intersects with the social, and the grotesque coexists with compassion.

Özdemir’s work has been exhibited internationally, including the London Design Festival 2025 (“The Face Within the Fish”), Galería Andrómeda 3.20, Oripeau Project, and Lumen Art Gallery, İzmir, while his writings and works have been featured in Dek Unu Magazine, Digital Arts Blog, and Medium. In 2025, he was selected as a finalist in the Fall "Open Theme" Competition at Art Collide, and has received multiple reference letters from prominent international institutions, affirming his growing recognition in contemporary art circles.

Under the Miskin Kukla pseudonym, Özdemir continues to expand his visual language through conceptual storytelling and digital manipulation, revealing the hidden strangeness and beauty of everyday life.
